By donating to the latest Waikato/Bay of Plenty Cancer Society appeal you are directly supporting cancer patients and their families.
Every day 60 people in New Zealand will receive a cancer diagnosis, signalling the start of a journey they never asked to take. While the Cancer Society’s mission is to reduce the impact and incidence of cancer in our communities, the reality is – for now at least – that our services are still very much needed.
As the Cancer Society receives no direct government funding we rely on the generous donations and support of people like you so we can continue to provide free services to those with cancer and their families/whānau, deliver our cancer prevention and health promotion programmes, and fund vital research in the field. Your support helps enable this work, making the journey for people who hear the words “you have cancer” just a little bit easier.
